As Former Curator and Co-Founder of Friends of the San Jose Rose Garden, she developed “Pruning for Maximum Display” which transformed the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden from a state of disrepair into a nationally and internationally award winning garden.  Her simple yet effective tips enabled volunteers to confidently prune a 4,000 rosebush garden in as little as one hour.

Hopper has had a love affair with roses for 30 years, and believes nothing provides more bloom power than roses – yet traditional advice sometimes makes rose growing seem daunting when it really is quite simple.  Her entertaining program will provide easy tips to help you prune with confidence to encourage a season of beautiful blooms.
