Be a Rose Bud!
Come make our community a more beautiful place and learn about roses from our Consulting Rosarians and MLRS members.
The Mother Lode Rose Society established and maintains the Rose Garden located at the Amador Senior Center – Amador County’s only public rose garden. The MLRS established the Rose Garden in 1988, and the garden is maintained by volunteers of the Mother Lode Rose Society. Throughout the year volunteer days are held. Events are open to all: bring pruning shears and gloves. Seasonal activities include pruning, deadheading, weeding, spreading mulch and fertilizing. Water provided. Bring snacks to share if desired.
2017 Public Garden Workdays held 3rd Friday of the month. Everyone is welcome. During the “cold” months typically start at 10 AM, during hot weather start at 8 AM. Come and learn how we care for roses each month throughout the year!
